Founded in 2021 by Jo Barker, Bay Beauty and Spa is led by a team of experienced therapists that do everything for their clients to leave them looking and feeling the best.
We offer complete skin and body care through a variety of spa treatments and skin care products. Our team is qualified to help anyone needing to correct their skin concerns whilst providing a relaxing treatment that is good for the mind and soul. At Bay Beauty and Spa we believe in keeping it simple with the power of touch!

FOUNDER & OWNER
I have been working in the industry since 2006. In 2019 I took the leap to set up a beauty salon at home and to do this I transformed part of my shed to work a couple of days a week. Moving forward to the 5th of May 2021 I felt the need to expand and that’s when I decided to open Bay Beauty & Spa – a boutique salon in central Port Lincoln.
I wanted a place where people could come and feel at home, to relax, unwind, chat and have a few laughs. I believe in old-school beauty and keeping things simple. There is no better feeling than knowing your clients leave their treatment feeling refreshed.
I'm not just a beauty therapist, I'm also a Mum of three and wife to an amazing husband, who has helped make all this happen. Without my family this wouldn't be possible!

I have been working in the Beauty industry for over 14 years now. I left school in year 11 to start a traineeship in Beauty therapy at a day spa and salon here in Port Lincoln. I have always wanted to do Beauty since I was little. I used to give my family pedicures and massages all the time, and they always said I would do something in Beauty or be a masseuse, and they were right! I moved around a lot growing up but have lived in Port Lincoln now for about 18 years. I am married and have 2 kids, Koa and Kiana. I have been working at Bay Beauty and Spa for close to 2 years now altogether. It is a beautiful space to work in, and Jo is a great boss and friend. I love coming to work; it's always a great vibe in there, and I love making people feel their best.

I grew up in a small country town, Cleve, where I completed all my primary and secondary schooling. At the end of 2023, I moved down to Port Lincoln to complete my training as a beautician.
Out of work I enjoy catching up with friends/family, and meeting new people.
